Woah, it's been a minute and I have been painfully absent from this blog since //checks notes// October! Oh gods! What the hell have I been up to???

Hangin' out with the local ghouls in some cool LARPs! I've had the wonderful opportunity to work alongside Events by Venn as a designer/consultant/Co-GM (the term we've jokingly settled on using is "LARP Vizier") to help bring "The Court Of Ivory," "Borne of Blood," and "The Fall of Schrecknet" games to life. That's been a super compelling challenge, and I'm really looking forward to continuing to contribute to more unique live experience games in the future.

I beefed up some of my physical prototyping capabilities! One of my newest acquisitions was a thermal printer that has been a godsend for near-instantaneous card and token prototypes for tabletop games. Highly recommend if you're constantly printing and cutting cards, or if you just like having a new gadget to play with. <3

Lots of ongoing miniature hobby projects to pick at, including more Gaslands cars, the new Celestian Insidiants from Kill Team, a horde of mechs for Steel Rift, and getting into terrain building with some big destructible urban buildings in 6-10mm scale.

As is pretty typical for my winter hibernations, I've been doing a lot of media research consumption! Watched tons of movies, played a lot of games, read books, and went on a handful of fixation-instigated microgenre deep dives. It's always been a super important part of my creative process to incorporate dedicated time to get inspired and learn from having new experiences, and I'm hitting the ground running this spring feeling particularly inspired.

Despite claiming it would be too much of a headache to deal with, I've managed to keep up relatively well with my letterboxd, so if you're also a little bit of a movie dork go take a peek.

I have had a few unfortunate big life events in the last little while including getting hit with S.A.D. like a freight train, so I needed to allocate my energy more carefully than I would've liked. That meant upkeeping live documentation on this blog wasn't in the cards if I wanted to also Actually Do The Work, but I'm hoping to be updating more regularly now that the midwest has thawed out.

Hope you're all making cool things out there! Please feel free to hit me up to tell me what kinda projects you're working on.
